Intellectual property (IP) is a category of property that includes intangible creations of the human intellect.
There are many types of intellectual property, and some countries recognize more than others.
The best-known types are copyrights, patents, trademarks, and trade secrets.
The modern concept of intellectual property developed in England in the 17th and 18th centuries.
The term "intellectual property" began to be used in the 19th century, though it was not until the late 20th century that
intellectual property became commonplace in the majority of the world's legal systems
The main purpose of intellectual property law is to encourage the creation of a wide variety of intellectual goods.
To achieve this, the law gives people and businesses property rights to the information and intellectual goods they create,
usually for a limited period of time. This gives economic incentive for their creation, because it allows people to benefit
from the information and intellectual goods they create, and allows them to protect their ideas and prevent copying
These economic incentives are expected to stimulate innovation and contribute to the technological progress of countries,
which depends on the extent of protection granted to innovators.
A patent is a property right for an investor that's typically granted by a government agency such as the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. The patent allows the inventor exclusive rights to the invention, which could be a design, process, an improvement, or physical invention such as a machine. Technology and software companies often have patents for their designs.
Trademarks
A trademark is a symbol, phrase, or insignia that is recognizable and represents a product that legally separates it from other products. A trademark is exclusively assigned to a company, meaning the company owns the trademark so that no others may use or copy it. A trademark is often associated with a company's brand.
Dissemination Plan
My project is purely for personal use at home.
For me to get this idea to commercial market, there is still a lot of improvements that can be added. There is market potential for such a project
as most of the window in Bhutan using a steel rod as the curtain rail unlike window binders in other places.
For dissemination and implimation in real field , I atlest need to work on the following:
1. Reduce the form factor,
2. Improve visual appeal,
3. Reduce the noise of the motor
Presentation and Video
I used Canva to prepare my slides
